This is one of many slots in the Amatic range which have the word ‘Wild’ in their title. There is nothing particularly wild about the setup or game-play – instead this is another example of a basic yet entertaining slot from Amatic’s live portfolio. The wild in this case comes from the fact that the red 7 will substitute for any other symbol on the reels (except the scatter). This is a standard feature of slots these days – however back in 1993, when Amatic got started in their home country of Austria, wild symbols were a new and exciting development. The core of this game is a 5 reel video slot with 5 reels, and the main reason to play is that you can hit multiple wins of up to 100x your bet from the same spin.

Design-wise, this game has a red background, with a wild 7 logo on the top having flames on either side. The back of the reels is a plain black colour, which contrasts with the bright colours and vivid shading on the symbols. Expect the classic slot symbols on the reels, including cherries, oranges, grapes, plums, lemons and a melon. There is also a big green star with a blue background – and of course the red 7 which is key to the game.

There are some animations, which involve flames engulfing the different symbols when you hit winning combinations. I can’t say that these are too impressive – think flames and flashing within the ‘box’ of the winning symbols and you are on the right track. When the game first loads, you get a short tune, though this is the highlight audio-wise. There are short bursts for winning combinations after that only – in addition the whirr of the reels shared by all Amatic slots.

You will not be able to adjust the 10 win lines for Wild 7. You can choose from a wide range of bet sizes, from 10 coin denominations up to 1000. For a USD casino that equates to 10c through to $10 per spin. If you choose the ‘auto-start’ you need to remember to switch this off when you are done. If you do not do that it will continue until you run out of money. In like with all Amatic titles, you can gamble any win on the flip of a playing card (either choosing black / red or a specific suit). If you do not wish to gamble, simply hit the collect button instead.

The single biggest pay-out comes from lining up 5 of the red 7’s on a win-line. This is worth 100x your total bet, with 25x the prize for 4 and 5x for just 3. The symbols do come ‘stacked’, appearing multiple times in a row on each reel. This will often create multiple wins in one go. These 7’s are wild, substituting for any other symbol (not the scatter) to make up winning combinations. Any wins containing a 7 get 2x the prize listed in the pay table. The next largest win is for the melon, at 20x for 5, 5x for 4 and 2x for 3. Grapes and plums are next, followed by lemons and oranges – with the cherries paying out the smallest amounts.

There is a scatter symbol in play (this is the green star), which will pay out regardless of where it lands on the reels. If you get 5 of these anywhere in view, you win 50x your total bet, 4 are worth 10x and 3 are worth 2x.
